Toi Tangata Toi Ako 2021

Two Toi Ako events will run back to back taking the place of our normal Hui ā Tau due to risks associated with Covid.

Thursday 18 February 9.30am-5pm will still be held in Kāwhia at the Kāwhia Community Hall with the theme Kāwhia Moana Kāwhia Kai Kāwhia Tangata. Hoturoa Kerr will be the keynote speaker followed by workshops, Growing the Puna presentations and discussions. Afternoon activities will have a focus on waka and Kāwhia Moana.

Friday 19 February will focus on Kai Oranga and Māori Systems Thinking. This Toi Ako will be held at the Trust Waikato Community Space in Hamilton CBD. Speakers include Dr Isaac Warbrick and Pania Newton along with Growing the Puna intern presentations and a Māori systems workshop from the Kāhui Roopu from Healthy Families. Toi Tangata will also launch a new kai resource on this day.

Registrations will open on 12 January 2021 for both Toi Ako. Numbers are limited to 40 participants on Thursday and 50 on Friday.

*Note, any overnight accomodation will need to be organised by participants.
