World Cancer Day every 4 February is the global uniting initiative led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC)

Relay For Life is an inspiring community experience that gives everyone a chance to celebrate/whakanui cancer survivors and carers; remember/maumaharatia loved ones lost to cancer; and fight back/tū atu by raising awareness and funds to support the work of the Cancer Society.

Kidney Health Month is run by Kidney Health New Zealand and is timed for March to coincide with World Kidney Day on March 12.  Kidney Health New Zealand promotes kidney health awareness, supports kidney patients and provides free kidney health checks.

Walk2Work Day encourages New Zealanders to do just that - walk to work! Run by Living Streets Aotearoa, the focus is on the link between using public transport and walking, and celebrating walking in general.

World Water Day is an annual event run by UN-Water, the entity that coordinates the United Nations' work on water and sanitation.
